time for a blogging break

I think it's about time I made my absence official and admitted I need a blogging break.

I'm still reading your blogs and loving keeping up with your latest news and activities!

Honestly, I am struggling at the moment and feel like I've not got much to say. There is nothing specific, just an accumulation of trickiness which has made me low and lethargic.

We're finding decisions about the future draining and discouraging, I'm at a pretty low ebb spiritually, we've been unusually sickly in the last six months, Mikey is going through a difficult time and I'm just a bit weary!

I'm going to take it easy with Play on the Word stuff too, which feels like a hard decision because it has been the most encouraging thing to me recently. Obviously we'll still be telling our lot about Jesus and playing as we go, so I'll share bits and pieces.

I'm feeling pretty sad really. I very, very much hope I'll be back. In the meantime if you want to keep in touch feel free to friend me on Facebook or follow me @alicecrumbs.

Oh, Alice, I am so sorry to hear you are at a low ebb, and will miss your presence in blogland but you must absolutely do what feels right for you at the moment.

What you have chosen to do and the way you live your has been an inspiration for me, and in taking on so much it is not suprising to hear you are weary. Be kind to yourself.

I will be praying for your lovely family and - that you would find the energy you need and that plans for your future unfold in the best of ways.

St Paul's in Newport Wales, where my bro-in-law is vicar has some interesting youth work and is on FB if you want to have a look.xx

Alice--I have to admit I haven't been a reader of your blog so far (having not really realized you had a blog until now--duh), but your comments on my own are always so lovely and encouraging that you feel like a friend to me, and I'm sorry to hear you're down. I have no doubt, of course, that you will find yourself back "up" soon enough, but meanwhile, I send you love.

Dear Alice and family,
I want you to know that you have been an encouragement to me in days gone by and I hope that once again, with God's help, that you will be refreshed, rejuvenated and able to rejoice.
May God bless you all at this precious time and in the coming year.
love Val

I totally understand. Sometimes, with everything else we have going on, blogging is the one thing that has to go. I've been juggling like crazy lately too, and with the upcoming arrival of Jane, I'm worried about keeping up the pace. Don't feel bad. You must do what you need to keep your sanity. As Matt always says, "You blog b/c it's fun. When it's not fun, don't do it anymore." :) Get lots of rest. And don't worry, we'll all be here when you get back.

Hello. Sad to hear you are not too good at the moment and that you're taking a blogging break but hopefully you will be back soon and all refreshed!

You guys are such brilliant folk and your family is gorgeous too! Joe and I will pray that you're soon feeling brighter!

Take care,

love from
Amy
