Can you believe I forgot my own blog's birthday?!! Ah well, a good reason to make cake tomorrow I think!
I've been doing this for two years and still don't quite feel I've got into the groove of it all! I do love how many lovely people I've met and stalked through it all though!
Things are going swimmingly over at Play on the Word. The latest post has a video of us doing this weeks' Bible story. Mikey is trying to speak. Let me say that again so I start to believe it: Mikey is trying to speak!!!
OK, so it may just be me and Dave that can understand but, oh my goodness, it brings tears to my eyes and smiles to my lips!
I've had another lovely day off. Shoddy bakewell tart at the cafe (nowhere near as good as my mother in law's recipe) but a great, HUGE pot of tea. We met an Occupational Therapist who is doing a specialist sensory profile on Mikey - my eyes were opened in so many ways. I can't wait to talk to her again - I feel as though she has one of the keys we need to unlock a bit of Mikey.
Oh, and it's pesto pasta for tea - life is good!

I was trying to imagine what it means for you that Mikey is trying to speak...I could only compare it to my gorgeous Godson, who is 14 months, as he tries to form his first words. It makes my heart soar when I hear him say Ammmmammmm and I know he's trying to say my name. I'm so excited for you! I wish I knew you better, lived nearer...I don't know what! much love, Amanda xxx
Yepppp! You've got it! It feels just Ike that and yet about a thousand times better and more exciting because if how long we've been waiting and how hard he's working to achieve it!!!! It's wonderful!

Oh, how I hate it to forget someone's (or something's) birthday/anniversary. Doesn't it just get to you?! Well, happy 'blogoversary' to you and have a spectacular weekend with your loved-ones!!
Your child is trying to speak - as a mum it is the most exciting thing isn't it, and for Mikey an even bigger and braver and more heroic achievement. Fantastic!
